My knock sensors went bad. Replaced them. That didn't work. Got new wiring and new sensors in and connected but where does the other end of the knock sensor wire plug in to? The old wires go into a small plastic box next to the starter and then I lose it. Any suggestions on where it plugs in would be appreciated . Thanks in advance.

Great post , I have the same issue with my 2008 tundra 4.7l v8 . The Toyota dealership sells harnesses with the primary end with the plug , yet mine is wired into an electrical line ! Pretty bummed , now I’m so far into it , I’m without a vehicle , or knowing anyway to fix it ! First time on a forum , as I’ve usually been able to manage on my own but this time I’m toast ! . Was wondering Kingsfan , if you finally got yours fixed ? Anyone out there …I could sure use the help thanks !

This is the 1st gen forum. Your 2nd gen is potentially going to be different.

You’re asking in the 2000-2006 year forum to answer questions about your 2008 vehicle.

While it’s the same engine base platform, you should really be asking in the appropriate year sub forum for the best and most accurate advice. I asked mods to move your other post so you can hopefully get the help you need.

Nice to see someone with any reply at all. Welp, my truck is still ailing from PO332 knock sensor code which I've replaced both. So I'm actually trying to drive my truck for 100 miles without the light coming on. I'm no mechanic just saving money where I can. I'm moving toward trying to use better fuel and treatments to make the truck run smoother in hopes it will not trip the code. The truck runs and sounds fine but the code persists and I can't register in CA as I can't pass the smog check with a code. Hope you find a resolution for yours. My mechanic buddy told me some parts just aren't serviceable.
