Silly question… I’ve got a 2018 TRD Off-road and recently had 2019 Fox Trd pro coilovers installed with a 1/4” shim for a total of 2.5” lift up front. Based on what I’ve read, less than 3” should clear the upper control arms without issue. The first time I drove it I noticed a pop when turning. It’s particularly noticeable when backing out of a parking space and cranking the wheel. I mentioned it to the guy at the alignment shop who said to bring it back in a week if it’s still making the noise. Doesn’t make sense to me that the sound would just go away.

Check your sway bar links. They pop like that when not all the way tight

Also if you have cat guards and a TRD Pro skid plate. They are noisy as hell where they meet up. I get the popping noise at slow speeds for instance when going through a tight drive through. I was told by a Toyota tech to use rubber grommets between the plates. I have everything, just need to do it.

Having a similar issue slow speeds or hard right turns at slow speeds only or speed bumps sometimes. Toytec 2.5 alumas truck on has 53k on it. Also jba ucas and trd pro sway bar. I can’t see it being tie rods or lower ball joint.

Maybe try torquing the lower control arms, I found that worked for me

If the lower strut bolt was not tightened with the vehicle weight down on the tires on the ground, or at least jacking up the lower control arm if the truck was still on Jack stands to its natural position before torquing it down that can cause a popping sound I’ve read.
