Any gains to be had? Looking for a factory style intake and ran across a used complete intake kit from filter to manifold for a good price. Didn’t know if it would be worth getting the manifold and having it ported or not.

After port matching the runners to the heads sandblast it rough. Polish the exhaust ports. There might be a few rpm where you can gain a tenth of a hp.

Just saying you want the intake ports a little rough, and the exhaust ports smooth.

Correct but what do exhaust ports have to do with an intake manifold? I’m not porting the heads. Just the intake, potentially.

Exhaust ports on the head...do the porting...then you're setup for more awesome!

I bought a used tundra and was chasing a misfire like crazy for awhile. Wondering why the previous owner has 8 vacuum ports the side of the manifold capped off. Caps were dry rotted and leaking. Anyone know what those would be there for and why??

I’ll get some pictures soon, but there’s 4 ports on each side of the manifold. That were just capped off with rubber caps. One for each cylinder I’m assuming.

A port for each runner? Run N2O. Nitrous or NOS or NAWS depending on how old you are.
