Hey all, looks like I'm picking up https://www.beamantoyota.com/inventory/new-2025-toyota-tundra-sr5-5TFLA5DB0SX239898/ today! Super excited, and while I liked the off road, I think it makes more sense to add the small lift myself. I saw the Bilstein 5100s were just launched, so probably will go that route on a middle setting (what else is imperative to not mess up vehicle geometry) This is my first Toyota, how are they about voiding warranties due to stuff like this? Am I better leaving it alone, putting on some real Wildpeak AT4/Ws and leaving the suspension alone?

Do most of you run paint protection film on your front end, or not bother? My F150 had so many rock chips when I traded it that it looked like bird shot. Curious on Tundra paint (first Toyota)

    Favorite non powered steps?

Think that might be it, thanks!

The tires that come with it are horrible, so you’re on the right track. I would get a clear bra and tint the windows now. I have the TRD steps and they are fine as far as I am concerned. No way to slip, they have the same spray as the bed does.

I put KO2s on my SR5 and have never looked back. I've also been very happy with my partial front end and rocker panel paint protection film from XPEL. When the installed the ppf, the truck model was brand new so the installer had to custom cut some of the film. It pays for get a professional install in my book. Enjoy your truck!

Welcome & enjoy it!!! I put a 1.75" level kit on the front of mine & of course tires, & it made a huge difference.

What kit did you do? Any additional pieces needed beyond that? (GM world if you hit 2inches you need UCAs too)

    thanks!

How bad is the mileage with those? I didn’t buy a truck for mileage but I do drive a lot, lol.

Rough country level, nothing else other than alignment. Rides perfectly. I also went with Nitto Recon Grapplers 285/65r20.

I have a camper installed most of the time so I just ignore mileage all together, haha. When unloaded, I don't notice enough of a change to be upset about it. It's maybe a 2-3mpg difference for me.

I don’t believe the off-road rides any higher than the SR5. However, the Sport rides lower.

The sport is 1” lower in the front from the factory. I did the westcott and tires. So much better now.

Congrats, my 2024 SR5 has been flawless. It’s been towing a trailer through snow for the last few weeks and I’m incredibly impressed with 4WD performance with Nokian snow tires.

For running boards, local dealer had the TRD ones in stock so I just added those. They’re nice and grippy and work well.

    4" Lift, RTS Package
Congrats and welcome to the almighty Celestial Silver club!

Mine is a '23 SR5 that came from the dealer as a "RTS" ("Rugged Trail Series") version, which included a leveling kit, oversized tires/wheels, Bilsteins and side steps. I got rid of the leveling kit and had a RC 4" lift installed, which was perfect for me as it still was able to fit into the garage. And believe it or not, I had the whole thing ceramic coated as well, because I'm lazy and hate waxing.

Good luck with whatever mods you decide upon!

My 2024 sr5 has been great so far. Not so much luck with the 22 I traded in. Went with the Wildpeak AT 4's. Stock size but has a wider profile. Great ride!

    Several
The tires on it are not real wild peaks. They are 3/4 the tread of real ones and are Not 3 peak rated. They were made to help Toyota w epa mileage figures. I threw them away and got real wild peaks. Its uo to your preference on what to do

So you bought the sport and only added the front/back Westcott collar kit, no shocks or anything else were swapped? 2.5in front 1in rear? No geometry, brake line, etc. issues?

Picked up a 24 today I got a smoking deal on! So, I'm not a TRD Sport owner as well! Wan to order the Westcott kit asap, and am thinking the 2.5 front / 1 in rear is where I'll land, but does it require moving or lengthening the brake lines? Curious which kit you did, as it's exactly the way I want mine to sit.

    Thanks!

What kind of a deal? C'mon, you've got to share the details? Bonus question: did you meet Steven Welch and told him his YouTube channel rocks?

I bought my 24 SR5 premium for 58K before tax and license. I got it in June. It’s staying stock for now as far as suspension. Keeping the TRD 20’s. I did install AFE Prodry air filters and silicone intake hoses from the air box to the turbos…nothing major. I am waiting on my tig weld creations exhaust.
