This just popped up, wondering if anyone else has had or seen it.
Im just over 1000mi, no issues til now. Funny thing is that it still feels just fine, and LTA works as well. I cant feel any difference.

Had the same warning the day after I brought mine home. Took it in to be looked at the next morning and dealer couldn't find anything wrong. Felt no issues when the warning came up and haven't seen it since or felt anything off about the steering.psm.jpg

Not sure if it’s related, I can’t see how, but it didnt happen til I plugged in a 4-pin utility trailer. I pulled the same trailer a few days ago with zero issue. (Trailer is also the reason RCTA is auto turned off in first photo above if anyone is wondering)

Did they clear it or did it reset on its own?

No it was gone the next time I started my truck and was told to bring it straight in to them or the nearest dealer if it ever popped up again. My dealer hasn't seen this warning since and mine was the 2nd truck to drive off their lot (This was back in January)

Sorry I can't offer any insight, just letting you know my experience with this.

Much appreciated. Truck is parked but I’ll see what happens when I start it up in a bit. If it doesn’t clear I will run by the dealer tomorrow.

I had the same warning pop up on my brand new truck - less than 200 miles.

I called and made an appointment with the dealer. The next morning when I started the truck, the message was gone and hadn't reappeared. Dealer couldn't find anything wrong either.

    UPDATE:
I had some things to handle so the truck was parked for a bit. Went back out earlier to go park the little utility trailer and the message was gone when I started it up. I also took my wife into town to handle a few errands and it never came on. :notsure:
I was never overly concerned about it, because like I said, when the message was on it drove no different. I was more annoyed at the prospect of possibly having to take it to the dealer and sit and wait. Glad it went away.

I got the same message around 2200 miles and it went away after I shut the truck off and restarted. I took it to the dealer anyways to have it looked at. They downloaded and cleared all the codes and one came back so they asked Toyota about it. Long story short they are replacing the steering assembly but the parts or a part needed for the swap is on back order with projected delivery of Aug 12th. The dealer asked if the truck was drivable in the meantime and they responded with NO. Currently waiting on more info, hopefully this helps.

My power steering unit ended up having an internal failure and was replaced under warranty. New one was installed and software update completely. Everything has been good since.

Just had this message pop up. No change in steering feel. I'll see if it's still there in the morning when I take it to the dealer.

Update: Just went and started the truck. The message is gone. Odd. I blame the frozen wasteland of Hoth.

I had the same thing happen and it didn’t go away when I turned the truck off. I was near my dealer so I took it in. When they plugged their computer up to it they couldn’t get it to go off. My truck drove fine. They kept my truck and told me they had to do some sort of computer down load and it went away and never came back. They also said nothing was wrong with my power steering it was just some sort of software update. I have 20k on the truck and it happened 5k miles ago
