So I've seen posts on the fact that the Amp Research Powerstep XL is tough to install on a 2024 Toyota Crewmax Hybrid (https://www.tundras.com/threads/amp-research-power-steps.136317/), but I am looking for clear instructions. I'm pretty determined to get these things on my truck and am hoping for some guidance. Does anyone have experience, instructions, or risks from doing this? I apologize if someone has already posted on this. I haven't been able to find anything that's clear.

I am looking at the Boost Auto power step, look pretty cool with the LED. Anyone had it installed this brand yet?

My powerstep died and I can’t seem to fund a replacement motor. I tried ordering from the local rep who said maybe he could source one in 4 months. I went to the manufacturer and placed an order that was supposed to arrive a week ago and did not. I checked the website and the order still says pending.

As for what the failure actually was: Upon disassembly I found one of the plastic gears got lunched.

So I am currently without a working running board and the damned thing died 3 months outside of warranty.

Just one data point for you to consider in your buying decision.

I removed my AMP steps from my 2014 because of the noise, and I got tired of replacing parts (gears and motors).
Also, the amount of door dents increased after installing the AMP steps, and I park away from everyone.
I didn't have those with the tube or stationary steps.
    Good luck..
