    Anyone have a PN# for the 4 screws that hold the oil filter cover on? Dealership crossed one putting it back on, threads all fat now and have to tap out the hole.

    Going to push them for new screws at least but just in case.

    @Roman

    Im talking about the bevel headed screw with the hex socket.

    Thanks

    Dude. Tap the holes? That’s you fixing a problem you created. They should replace the skid plate.

    You’re not wrong. But, I’ve been a mechanic for long enough. If a guy in my group busts something we reprimand for it but typically have someone else, more capable fix it.

    The lube tech guys at the dealership have nowhere near the experience I have. Tapping it is something that will take me a minute to do and will be done right the first time. It’s worth it to me to avoid the risk of them compounding the issue. This is a basic fix.

    I get your point and would agree if it weren’t for my personal background. I only had them service it because it’s “free”.

    Sorry, I do not have the part number, but I have to wonder how the hell does someone cross the threads on that little cover? Its amazing that they did not screw up the filter cartridge holder..

    I think that I've just grabbed a few of the stainless variant from my local hardware store. Options.
