Thanks to this forums I am learning more and more about what I need to look for and what I want.

So I have been scouring the interwebs doing my research and talking to people here locally trying to get a idea on what is a good quality product and will fit my needs.

    I initially wanted a 6'' lift but I ran across this: https://realtruck.com/p/pro-comp-7-coilover-lift-kits/v/toyota/tundra/2017/

This is a pro comp coilover lift kit marked down from 4300 to 2800. Seems too good to be true? Pro comp is a quality product correct? Also why would it be 7'' and not 6? im assuming I probably wouldn't really be able to tell the difference if they were side by side anyways?

Interesting. Makes me think the shop I went to yesterday quoted me high. They quoted me $4800 for a 7'' suspension & coilovers lift. with 800 being install price. Only thing I regret is not asking what brand they were going to use. I didn't get a good vibe from that shop so I didn't stick around and ask all the right questions.

There is another shop that I will be going to to get quotes that are a procomp dealer so I will see what they offer.

I just remembered a question that I wanted to ask.

If got the procomp without the coilovers, (which I think is stage 1?) would upgrading to stage two at a later date be just as cost effective parts wise? Also does just doing the stage 1 have any possible negative consequences to the truck or is it pretty much just ride quality that wont be as good with the stage 1?

    Edited for grammer

Im in the Air Force in Vegas. Thing is im 99% sure there is a community shop on base that has lifts and every tool I would need and its like $15 a day to use. I work on helicopters for a living so im not afraid to get my hands dirty. Im just scared for two reasons. 1. Ive not super familiar with car/trucks even though im sure I could figure it out. 2. I don't want to get to a step where I get stuck or have to cut something that I don't want to cut and have my truck on a lift without any good way to get it put back together.

Maybe those fears are irrational I don't know. If I had someone looking over my shoulder for technical advice I would do it in a heart beat.

There are probably members on here that are around the Nellis area that can give you some help.

I would rather buy Stage 1 and upgrade later to quality coilovers like Kings if you have the $. The coilovers in the kit are only $400 or so each, thats not real high end - but may be fine for your needs. Just depends what you want, or what kind of ride you are looking for.

I recently bought my 2015 Tundra with the ProComp long travel lift already installed. I’ve read some places the coil overs are just rebranded fox’s - but I can not verify that. Either way, I’ve been impressed with the ride on the street so far. Looking forward to getting out in the dirt. I believe ProComp has a decent warranty program too. This kit has remote reservoir shocks in the rear as well.

    I have a 6 or 7 in lift running 37in on my 2010.

It creaks and makes noise like you wouldn't believe. It doesn't ride like my 2000 either. It rides like a truck and the geolanders find every bump.

However I get more compliments on it everywhere I go so.... theres that.

What I'd like to know is what shocks and struts can I put on it now that the things are leaking? I didn't put it on and now there's maintenance issues that I need to do, lower control arms, shocks, ball joint soon but not yet.... and I wouldn't mind upgrading to better parts. Just not sure what to order since I don't know what's compatible
