    Good morning all Tundra owners.

looking for guidance/recommendation for proper floor jack and jackstand placement to lift truck.
Not referring to the jack that comes with the truck.
Preparing to install a Westcott Industries Design lift kit.
    Feedback appreciative.

It’s just a truck man, nothings changed. Buy a 3 ton floor jack.

Past trucks I have used a floor jack on the rear pumpkin or front cross member to get both wheels up to place jack stands on those frame points. Not had to jack the Tundra up yet... and I also have a QuickJack these days that I will use instead of the floor jack/jack stands to rotate tires and eventually do brakes.

You can use the TRD skid plate to lift the front too.

Have you tried lifting the truck with the QJ? Using the truck adapters?

Not yet, but it worked fine with my Tacoma. I have the original BL-7000SLX, although they make a longer version now that would probably be better for this longer vehicle. I may get the accessory rail extension kit if it seems unstable.

I am bummed... I have the QJ 5000TLX with the truck adapters for my Tacoma, too bad they aren't strong enough for the Tundra. Looks like I'll need to sell them and get the 7000 series around Black Friday. QJ 5000 worked great with the Taco, but no way in hell I would risk it with the weight of the Tundra.

Ugh. I didn't look ahead into the future I guess... back to conventional jack stands for me for the time being!

I have the same ones, bought them years ago during a scratch n dent sale. I don't think they lift high enough for the Tundra but I haven't tried yet. They're barely long enough to reach our Teslas jacking points but have plenty of power to lift the heavy thing

I like that guy. He gives you a lot of info in a short video with no extra fluff or nonsense.

Working on painting the calipers and UCAS on my 2024 Tundra. Is it possible to lift both front wheels from the center frame using the cross bar by the trans? I have a yellow jacket floor jack

I've rotated my tires a few times using my 3-ton floor jack at the manual's recommended jacking locations. The front location seems too far back to me, as it tends to lift the entire side of the truck, instead of just the front corner. But it does work.

I made a mistake and jacked up the car by the front most cross member and can see a dent in on there now. Hope it’s ok, please use the second from front cross member which is part of the frame to raise the truck. Doh!

This does NOT sound like a good idea at all.

Oem tonneau, side steps, spray in liner. Trd skidplate.
It is rated for it and Toyota does say you can do it. Same on the 2.5 Gen.

Can confirm the 2.5gen TRD skid has a recommended jacking point that uses this block

This isn't the official TRD skid plate but it's an exact copy from eBay

You can definitely lift from the TRD skid plate.

It worked. I used two jack stands on the sides for safety. I'll try and take a picture under the truck of the cross bar I used. Thanks everyone. BTW, the 2x4s are just there in my garage, no connection with this...lol

Here's the point where I jacked the truck in the red square. Interestingly enough, the Catalytic Converter plate has an indent at that point. No dent to the frame/

I used my skid plate to jack up the front to change my wheels.
