Can Anyone recommend a quality LED replacement for the puddle lights on the bottom of the side mirrors that they have had experience with?

I installed VLEDs nearly 6 years ago, and they are great. I can't speak to any other brands. These installed cleanly and have had zero issues. It's a lot nicer to enter and exit the truck at night with these. IMG_2442.jpg IMG_2440.jpg IMG_2441.jpg

Glad I found this post. My 2021 TRD Pro has black caps where a puddle light would be. I bought the VLEDS puddle light replacements. If I remove that cap will there be a dongle to plug in the VLEDS?

Gotta check and let us know if they do!! I'd imagine you'd still need to throw some wires in but maybe they were considered no longer an option and just a trim difference...

I doubt you will have wiring IN your mirror for puddle lights.

You can test your mirror plug and see if it supplies puddle light power.
On my 2014 SR5 I had to run wiring thru the door and thru the mirror.
I tapped into the driver's side floorboard light circuit.
I also had to drill my own holes in the mirrors for the lights.

Your mirror plugs will be M 6 and N 5 behind the door sail.
You may have to remove the door panel to access it.

You'll be testing pin 6 brown wire for power and pin 5 white/black stripe for ground on both sides.
