    Has anyone tried these? I have a feeling a person would loose a lot of bass with these.

    Thanks for that. It s an interesting thread, but after thinking about it, I believe the doors are the best, and easiest option though a pod angled more towards the driver would help immensly. The kick panel idea is not even close to being a sealed enclosure, and has far to little volume to produce the bass the door will provide. I ve even thought about attaching enclosures to the top of the cab. That s a lot more work though it can be done. The headliner would need to be removed, and mounting points would need to be established. I ve thought about sound deadening the top of the cab anyway, so locating mounting points could be made then. I ran accross a headliner for old ford pickups; that s what I am thinking about, but I don t think even something like that would provide the volume needed for good bass reproduction like the doors can provide.
