I've been wanting to try a coating for a while.....just was not really ready to jump in. Along came Gyeon MOHS EVO, which, by all accounts, is very easy to apply. The price (89.99) for a 50ml bottle seemed pretty high, but I got it on sale, which lessened the pain. The product is packaged nicely, with an instruction sheet which covers all of their coatings, and a microfiber pad for application. There's also a sticker to apply to the door jamb for the installation date, a "#Gyeonized" window sticker, and a product catalog.

    PREP
After a full decon and wash, the truck got prepped using Gyeon Primer Polish. It can be coated over, but you have to wait 24 hours....or do the panel wipe. I opted for the panel wipe. The biggest pain during this part was the masking. I've no idea if this stuff would stain trim, and I'd no interest in finding out.

    APPLICATION

Straightforward and simple. When it sweats, it is time to remove. I used Rag Company Eagle Edgeless 300 towels for removal. One thing missing from the instruction sheet....the first time you put the product on the pad, you put extra to prime the pad. There's no guidance on how many drops to add to the pad after that. As a result, I used the whole bottle up. I definitely over-applied it. Even with that, removal was very easy.

    RESULTS

Immediately after removal, it's not quite as slick as I thought it would be. That has improved with time. As a sacrificial layer, I applied Gyeon Cure several hours after removal. It's slick as can be, and gives you the water behavior you'd expect from a coating. Overall, the user experience was a positive one, and I'd recommend this for anyone considering a coating, whether your a newbie or a veteran.

P.S. Status Detail on YT has a video on this coating (post application) and attests to it's durability.....very encouraging
