Time for some new shoes and the STT pros are toooo loud. What’s everything running for a quiet all terrain tire? All I have is a living kit in the front so will need to stay around 295/55/20.8E5A684E-1058-415F-8C8A-E5C462673F67.jpg

Falkens and Les Schwab Open Range are the quietest and smoothest tire I have found while still getting great traction. Both are rated 3 Peak. Some say they are the same tire made by the same manufacturer. I have them on both of our 4Runners, our F250 and about to put them on the Tundra.

Trust me I love the look and they are quiet at first but man I can’t even talk on the phone now and they still have good life left in them.

Nice looking truck. I feel you man, I had mine swapped out after 15,000 miles. It’s even louder at low speed. Although I didn’t do another set of terrain tires but I went with Michelin defender LTX. Lol I heard a lot of good things about cooper at3 I’ll put those on next sets. Good luck with your search.

Had these for about 3,000 miles and would get stuck in wet cow shit in the pasture. You are correct they are quite but that’s about it lol.

Unfortunately OP in regards to AT tires, they all get fairly loud to stupid annoying loud after some decent miles. Just the nature of the beast. Some brands/models are worse than others. Maybe go to a milder AT tire but that really depends on the conditions you drive.

I had E load G2s on my 4Runner for a couple years. They were awesome, and yes very quiet for an AT. I crawled right over and through anything I wanted. They handled being aired down to 15-18psi just fine. Traded the 4R in with 50k miles on those tires, and they looked like they could go another 20k. @offshore2005, were you in 4wd when you got stuck in wet cow patties? Just curious; your experience is completely different than mine with those tires.

I have Duratracs on the Tundra, and they’re still somewhat quiet after 10k miles, but I’m expecting them to get louder with time.

I drive a lot in dirt and through pastures and they would just slide too much in wet grass and light mud in 2wd. My dad has a cattle ranch so driving through fields I need something with more grip.

Cooper AT3 XLT’s are the smoothest and quietest AT tire I’ve ever had. 30K miles on mine and they barely look used.

285/55r20 with Falcon shocks set to level. Just got the shocks, now need bigger tires, lol.

The Toyo OC AT3 have been very quiet for me so far. I rode with a buddy who had the Falkens on and I couldn’t believe how loud they were.

I went from the Falken ATW3 (quietish) to the TOYO OC AT3. Way quiter on the Toyo, less vibration, and smoother all around. Although I do catch more rock flings inside the wheel wells.

Do you have any pictures? I have never taken these for a test but might give them a try. I like the 65,000 mile warranty they come with.

@offshore2005, it seems all of these quieter AT tires have milder tread patterns and less prominent lugs on the shoulder than the STT Pros you’re currently running. This makes me think that these milder tires are going to perform more like the G2s you didn’t like in the wet/muddy farm fields in 2wd. You might be going backwards. Just two more of my cents…

I'm a BFG fan, had great luck with them over the past 15 years or so. I've always thought the KO2 was quiet no matter the amount of tread wear.

It all depends on the tread pattern your looking for.

if you want mainly a highway tire then the mild Cooper XLT fits the bill.

If you want a more aggressive look and still have a good ride then:
    • Toyo AT III
    • Cooper Rugged Trek
