I am adding a aftermarket stereo to my tundra. I think this is a easy answer but still want to ask just in case. The wire harness I got came with a pcb module on the ground constant and 12v that lead to just a black and red wire. There is also those 3 wires that bypass the pcb. Im assuming that's there in case you don't want to use the pcb right? I don't have to hook them up along with the wires coming out of the pcb? Thanks

What kind of head unit are you installing/what wiring harness do you have?

I've attoto f7 with back up cam microphone...redwolf harness for tundra it has a pcb on the yellow red ND black but also had a separate yellow red and black... the pcb only h red and black coming out... aren't I suppose to hook the red and black to the pcb and that's it? The pcb controls the yellow now right? The separate wires are in case someone doesn't want to use the pcb or has a specific alarm or constant refrigerator etc

Do you have a link to the harness?

I mean it looks like the yellow constant, red switched, and black ground are all looped in the plug:

and it seems like the pcb is used to reduce battery draw when the vehicle is off? I can't find any instructions/decent info on this harness but I guess you could just join the red wires together and the black wires together and then connect those to the corresponding wires on your new head unit's harness?

It looks like the harness is the same as the Metra 70-1761 except the Metra doesn't have the PCB, which also leads me to believe you could just cut it off and cap those wires. This page has more info on installing an aftermarket head unit in your 2008: 2004-2012 Toyota Steering Wheel Controls (fits Tundra and Tacoma)

Yeah I was surprised how little info I could find online... guess I'm the guinea pig I wires the red and black to it and capped off the separate wires and going to eat then going to install into my truck the dash already apart and ready so I'll post on here if it works. Thanks Snert

Maestro harnesses and modules popular around here. Easy to follow instructions and no cutting.

    Wire only the separate Y/R/B wires. (Y = Constant; R = Switched Acc; B = Ground)

That is, if you want your new radio to retain settings / memory / clock / etc ... Cut the PCB out of the harness and/or wire it as though the PCB does NOT exist (and cap the wires to it to prevent short circuit).

A modern vehicle / radio that has no provision for memory? -- Only reason to install it like that would be long duration storage without using the vehicle. Perhaps in a boat -- but that should have a main disconnect.

    That's a RETRO option:
