This is probably the only feature that I couldn’t seem to get them to add before delivery. I have a Limited and curious if I can order a few parts and have it work? I am just assuming that all of the sensing is there just something needs to control it and that would just happen over CANBUS. Has anyone done this on a previous model year maybe?

Not sure if the same holds true for the 3rd gen Tundra, but on other cars I've looked at it's a whole system that will cost more than it's worth. There's a camera system at the top of the windshield that you'll need at the bare minimum.

I had this in my X5 and always ended up controlling the wipers myself. Not worthwhile IMHO.

Yeah, I had them in a Lexus ES, they were cool, but very gimmicky. Not something I would spend more than $20 and 5 minutes of work adding.

I find the ones on my LC usually go faster than I want them to. Kinda defeats the purpose if I am constantly switching it off and on.

Yeah, like so many things that are "automatic", you get the automation to prevent you from having to control something manually and then end up spending the same (or sometimes more) effort to get the automatic thing to actually do what you want it to do! It just becomes another thing to control.

IMO auto wipers are a terrible feature. I like intermittent timers much better.

Yeah in every vehicle I've had the intermittent is actually a proper speed rather than just "Low" or "High". I had it on my BMW M2 and my wife's Honda CRV and it's absolutely perfect.
