Just traded my 2023 SR5 Base for a 2025 Rally. I got a great deal, and I am very happy with it. It's more than a sticker package everyone. Toyota didn't do a good job explaining what comes standard with the $8600 rally package by looking at the window sticker. The best way to put it is, it's a combination of: a Base, Sport, Off-road and a Pro. I think it's a great option for people that don't want to pay for a Pro or can't afford one. Its kind of a budget Pro. I will explain:

    Base: SR5 Grill

Sport: Body color matched everything except the door handles and flares, has plastic from Off-road.

Off-road: 18" wheels and AT tires, bilsteins, rear locker, skid plates etc.

    Pro: Steering wheel and shifter

Rally: Tri-color vinyls on front sides and rear, soft tex seats, dash and wheel center caps.

Now, here are some things they missed on the window sticker: 14" display! 360 degree cameras! Auto tailgate! Pro exhaust! Blindspot monitor, front and rear sensors! Heated steering wheel! The seats obviously look cool but they seem to be higher quality than regular soft tex, very comfortable! I'm probably missing something else but damn Toyota, you guys missed a lot..

For a $60k MSRP truck, they should have explained this package better. I think it's a great value and it's cool driving something different. I'm not sure if these are limited editions but I would snag one if you can. I'll post some pics this weekend. Feel free to ask me questions.Screenshot_20250101_192150_Gallery.jpg

    Glad you're happy with it.

It's sell a bit strange to pay $8600 for a 14in nav, bilsteins and some decals. Oh and the front still looks like a cheap SR5 (everyone has their own likes of course)

As far as a resale value goes, it's still an SR5 and probably will only be appraised as a regular SR5 when you will trade it in.

I've heard somewhere that a cheapest Platinum trim will always be appraised higher than a loaded Limited trim even though it was about same price when bought initially.

Why not just get a Platinum Trd package? I've heard that deals are pretty good nowadays, and I wonder how much more platinum Trd would be.

Here in Canada it’s a value as it’s only $3,XXX over my sr5 trd off road. You get some type of “leather”, 14” screen, colour matched grill surround, bed lights, I think power tailgate, and a few other things I’m likely forgetting. I’d put a pro grill in it, new wheel centre caps and peel those decals off.

    Here’s a thought;
Take a look at what rally racing is. See what they actually do. None of the stuff listed would have any impact on the race abilities.
I had a Datsun 510 that I modified for rally racing. It included struts that were ‘coordinated for take off and landing’.
I could take that Datsun many places that standard 4x4 trucks would not or could not go.

Just trying to show the "Rally" (I realize it's not an actual rally truck...lol) some love guys. I could do without the exterior vinyls of course, but the interior is amazing!

I guess I'm a little biased since I bought one but I think it's a good value all in all. If it had vented seats, I think more people would like it. Is it a loaded SR5? Maybe, but it's different and I like that about it.

A Pro or Platinum would be $200-300 more per month and I couldn't justify that or afford that for that matter. Like I said, it's a budget Pro in a way and I love that it's even an option, thanks Toyota (do a better job advertising the features on it).

Maybe it will hold it's value better than a normal SR5 because it has a couple things you can't get on an SR5: Pro steering wheel and special interior. Time will tell, but as of right now, who knows how the value will hold.

I think its cool having a budget Pro. If you're going to change the color (wrap), wheels/tires, suspension, etc on your Pro, then the Rally might be a good platform to start with. I'm not, but just throwing that out there. Save 10-15 grand and put it towards aftermarket stuff.

Coming from a Base SR5, the Rally package has a lot of worthwhile upgrades to me and a couple pleasant susurprises. You have to see one in person to really appreciate it.

Congrats on the truck, I’m sure it’s a beauty!! I know where you are coming from. I once bought a 2013 Rock Warrior. Although it was basically an SR5 Off Road, it had a ton of stuff that set it apart from the normal SR5. Thought that truck looked amazing and unique and I rember it being a value compared to other trims.

Always liked those stripes and they look great on the seats!

I agree that Toyota does a poor job of detailing what is included with each option package.

The stripes on the seats are less pronounced in person. Those pictures make them look more obvious.

my question is can you easily peel the exterior 3 colour stripes off?

I'll get some pics this weekend, like I mentioned. Just wanted to get the conversation going in the meantime.

There's some videos on YT going through the details of the esthetics. Ben Hardy (youtuber) called it a poor man's Pro and I agree.

It only come in MBM MGM ICW and CS, correct.

Not sure I want to remove the exterior vinyls just yet, but I imagine it will be pretty straightforward when the time comes.

$7k off here too, seems to be the going discount right now. As long as the dealership doesn't have an addendum (dealer added accessories) then the $7k off is awesome. If they do have an addendum, $7k off might not be as significant.

For anybody waiting for more discounts, I wouldn't. The 3rd gen Tundra had the 2nd highest sales of all-time of all Tundras last year. Also, more discounts usually means less for your trade-in. If you get what you want on trade-in, at least $7k off, and a good rate, I think it's a good deal right now, personally.

After enjoying my Base SR5 for 2 years, it was time for an upgrade. For the $8600 Rally package, it felt like a $15k upgrade to me. I wasn't even looking for a Rally but it caught my eye on the lot.

I like the rally package idea. It has none of the Pro goodies, so I’m not sure why poor man’s pro is being thrown around. It has the TRD shifter and steering wheel, which I believe are available on other trims as well. Suspension is what makes the pro really. This has more like a TRD OR setup. They kept the stripes outside pretty conservative. Wish they would have done something different there. Interior is well done, not too over the top. I dig it.

I got my SR5 (SX package, which is maybe the best $300 I’ve ever spent), with the TRD factory 3” lift in September.

I was in for my 5k service, and my dealer got in a black SR5 with the Rally package, and it was sexy. Really liked it. Wish I waited 2 months to look at trucks!

I wanted nothing to do with any hybrids, limited packages, leather interior, sunroofs, etc, so the SR5 was always what I wanted. (Although wish I had the bigger gas tank).

Love my truck, but definitely keep eyeing up that Rally at the dealer!

Does the Rally package come with the 32 gallon tank? I couldn't find it in the included options but there was no way to add it if you tried to build it either.

Sounds like the TRD Sport was swapped for the rally. As a sport owner, I'd take the rally.

The Rally is really only a good value package if you want softex seats on a budget. There's nothing Pro about the rally. I find it so strange that TRD shifter and wheel are uncommon in the states. In Canada, it is installed in every single "TRD" SR5 and Limited model (we don't get TRD options on Platinum). The Pro is basically a Limited trim package (on the Canada build site it's even listed as such!). Everyone has their opinion on desired options and value. Mine was the Limited vs Platinum trims. Platinum is nice but not worth the difference for me. Memory seats, cooled seats, auto dimming rearview, power rear window, moonroof, 6.5' bed....There's still lots of missing features for the Rally compared to a Limited for only a couple grand more.

Unfortunately, it appears that RP is not available with 6.5' bed. I found several dozen RP packages within 500 mile inventory search, all short bed. LOL. Not for me.

NM, I just watched the video and it comes with the MTS switch and controls. The only thing this is missing is the TFT digital cluster and the Hyrbid system. Looks like a great value as long as it isn't 60k.

In the States, the Rally has the Pro steering wheel, shifter and exhaust. The TRD steering wheel, shifter and exhaust are a different style here. I'm telling you guys, Toyota did a terrible job explaining this.

I'm not comparing the Rally to a Pro by any means, but it does have a Pro interior look (minus vented seats, digital rear view mirror, wireless charging, panoramic roof and digital cluster). Hence, budget Pro or poor man's Pro. I would argue however that the Rally interior looks better than a Pro and has less stuff to break ;)

Obviously, the Pro kills a Rally on the exterior. The Rally will still be very capable off-road out of the box for most of us though. Plus, you can mod the exterior and not feel like you wasted money on Pro components (granted they are easy to sell).

All in all, I think the Rally will appeal to those wanting a sweet interior and a capable exterior without paying for a Pro. Save $15-20k and mod the exterior to be more capable than a Pro and your own style. Let's also remember that a Pro most likely won't be discounted like a Rally so the savings might be more like $20-25k

I'm a big fan of the seats, I think they did a killer job on that. They look very cool in person. Personally, I could leave the decals but they don't look terrible depending on the exterior color. Congrats on the truck!
