This is actually the first viable option I’ve seen. Are there others? Time to start saving up again!

 

Here we go again with door magnets. Is this how power running boards work in other vehicles? The "stick on" LEDs also seem like an afterthought.

Discouraged. Unfortunately for me Toyota doesn't allow OEM power boards for TRD OR models or I would have them. Ah, well, guess I didn't need them anyways.

 

Taking a hard look at these. Since I have never dealt with them before, what is the issue with the door magnets? My worry is that silly wire running across the door jamb/pillar. Wife's sequoia has them from the factory, and they are awesome. Never thought I would like them, but they are sweet.

 

I ordered these on Saturday, says they are out for delivery. So hopefully should have some info on this today!

Dang. I forgot to reply. It took me roughly 2 hours to install. Then another hour to tidy the wiring up to my liking (I didn’t want to see any wires). They work great. I don’t like the magnets and I found the factory plug for running boards. May eventually look into finding a way to tie it into the factory stuff but that’s for a later time. Overall very happy. I will try to remember to take photos.
