    You just wait
I struggle to remember a time in which RCI wasn't having a sale

I can't speak highly enough of RCI and their products. Take advantage of the sale if you can

A bit off topic, but how are the RCI skid plates for snow/salted roads?

I’m torn between picking up an RCI skid plate or waiting till the 4th and hoping Toyota has a sale on the TRD skid plate.

The aluminum plate doesn't rust. RCI's is 1/4" thick. Better than the TRD.

I’ve had their skids about 3 years now - they’ve held up great.

Awesome, thanks for the insight! I guess the only question left is how is the RCI skid plate oil filter access panel? This is the primary reason for me to want to install one after having to drop the OEM one just to access the filter (another brilliant design by Toyota).

It’s great - I’ve bashed mine and it still goes on and off easily. Two bolts.

That’s awesome! Looks like I just found my replacement skid plate, thanks for the help!

On a side note, the RCI skid plate “sale” hasn’t changed. It was 15% off when I was researching them about 2 weeks ago. That said, coupon code tundraforum still works!

The RCI sliders with the top plate isn't my favorite design. The top plate is butted to the tubing so tight that it traps water on the top edge of the plate, and the bottom has some really tight spaces since the top plate attaches to round tube. I did read on their website a while back that they improved their powder coat process, so perhaps they hold up better these days. Just something to maybe keep an eye on if you find it helpful.

It looks like the design has changed since you got yours, the top plate is now bolted to the cross braces.

Nice, that probably allows them to powdercoat the top plate separately so that they can get paint on the edges of the plate. Mine were a disappointment and a PITA!

Would love a set of their sliders on the Tundra but too cheap to pay $350 in shipping... :(
