    Hey Guys,

I'm super pissed at myself - I backed into another vehicle last night and bent my rear bumper on the passenger side. I'm struggling to figure out what parts I need to replace, it's not just a simple one-piece bumper. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's a 2021 TRD Pro.

Look at what I did in a similar situation.

You will unavoidably break clips off the bumper cover, which is not overly expensive. It's part number is 52057-0C061. Also a bunch of bolts can be rusted to death. Toyota uses the crappiest metal for bolts I've ever seen, so either get a propane torch or inductive bolt heater and heat them up good before attempting to even touching them.

Appreciate the reply. I think I am going to have to replace parts though since my bumper is a lot more bent.

I'm no body shop guy but at a minimum replace part 9 and the plastic cover you'll have to get painted locally.

Unfortunaly that center top piece is one big part.
Maybe what you have will flatten out when you replace the lower part.
The corner top piece looks good.

Maybe $500 or s$600 in parts and paint if you can keep the center piece.
Another $350 if you need to replace it.

I guess it would depend on how much your insurance deductible is and if you'd want to file a claim or not to have a shop fix it...
At least you don't have any sensors to deal with unless you have a BSM sensor in that bumper.

There's a bent thin frame under your bumper corner part. You can pull it out.

Oh I see. I guess I can take it apart and see what it looks like. Maybe use a come along?

Yes, disassemble both corners and use the undamaged one for measurements while pulling the damaged corner. It only looks much worse than it really is. You may need to replace that top plastic step pad that runs from side to side. Very stupid assemble-only design by Toyota.

Thanks so much for the help. I pulled it apart and bent it back with a large crowbar. Looks almost as good as new aside from a couple dings on the plastic. IMG_0466.jpg IMG_0467.jpg

I did the same exact thing backing into my garage. Even with my backup camera I managed to hit the corner of a shelf in that same spot. I was able to pop out the dent, clean the plastic piece and it's nearly undetectable. My truck is just like me, it has battle scars, no big deal.

Nice work! I just went through the same after jack knifing my small motorcycle trailer and it pushed the right wing in to the truck. I popped the top corner step pad off, backed up to a power pole and used a heavy duty ratcheting tie down strap to pull the wing back out. I was left with a scar on the painted end cap, but I'll live with it for now.
