Does anybody have a rear facing car seat in a crew max? If so, any way you could send me a picture to show my wife?

    thanks in advance.

Thought I had a picture of all 3, but I can for sure say all 3 types of car seats fit just fine in a double cab, so you shouldn't have any fitment issues. Oldest is currently 8 so they're not complaining about leg room....yet...

But he asked for rear facing, that takes up way more room on sides and towards the driver and passenger seats.

Mines from a 2021 crewmax so I know some differences as I’ve read the 2022 is a little smaller? But it gives you a slight idea. Both driver and passenger seats still have lots of leg room, and an adult can sit in the middle between both the forward facing and the rear.

Yep, I was implying the 3rd I didn’t have a picture of was rear facing by saying “all three types”, but I should’ve been more clear. I’ve even squeezed 2 rear facing and a toddler seat back there. Thankfully was only for a few weeks, but they did fit.

I don’t have little ones in big car seats anymore but when we did (and had a smaller vehicle) we had two Diono Radian seats. Very narrow outer width. Not cheap but great on space savings and good seats too

We could fit two of those and comfortably an adult in the middle of a Ridgeline backseat.

I currently have my little one in a rear facing, removable basket type carrier. Honestly, I think you could squeeze three of them in, which is the largest of the modes the kids go through. PM me and I’ll take some pics with the seat in, me sitting in front (6’4”) with the seat back if that helps.

We couldn't get a rear facing car seat in her car...an Acura RDX. We had no idea how big these things were. The infant, carrier type works fine but she bought this one that swivels and when it's facing backwards, we had to scoot the passenger seat so far forward that she couldn't carry someone in the front seat.

I assured her that I thought we'd be fine in the Tundra, but I think she wanted reassurance. As big as the back seat is supposed to be in the Crewmax, we just had no idea how much space these things took up. She was hoping one of you guys could supply some pictures before I make a $65k mistake.

Wow that seat is huge I had rear facing in my 13 wrangler which had small rear area that pictured seat would not have worked. You could reverse engineer your thoughts and buy the truck and get a new seat then it’s only a couple hundred dollar mistake

Can you measure that distance of the seat in that position I could measure my rear crewmax for comparison

Man, that'd be great. I'll measure as soon as I'm home. Thank you so much.

You’ll be good in a Tundra. It’s the only reason I ended up getting one and was a great decision. Have a 21 but I’m sure the 22 will be fine as well. Had 2 rear facing and a forward facing at once

Looks very very similar to what it looked like in my 2020 CM. Granted, my seat is set for me and I’m 6’3”. Rear facing seats just take up a ton of room. In my wife’s 4Runner, we can’t have the front passenger seat more than halfway back or it interferes with the RF seat.

Ya same when I had my tacoma, when I got the tundra was like we walked in a gymnasium lol.
Ya I guess if you have your seat all the way back makes sense.
