    Hi All,

I'm looking for recommendations for under the rear seat storage. The truck is a 2020 Tundra Limited TRD Off-road CrewMax with remote key access/push button start. I've seen one where you have to cut out 3 pieces of the carpet and foam to set the plastic tray in place...looks good for some additional depth but I'm hesitant to cut out the pieces. Thanks in advance.

    Alot of them
There are quite a few that have done it. Just be careful of the 1 area that is near some wiring. It's identified in the thread.

Cut it out. You won’t regret it.

Thanks...as I do more searching, it seems the cut -it- out & drop-it-in plastic or metal tray is about the only option.

I use one of those insulated cooler bags from Sam’s Club. Holds the spare tire tools, air inflator, tow strap and soft shackles. Just depends on what items you are looking to store.

Took the seats out for the subwoofer so just have a platform. It doesn’t move but I’m sure in an emergency it could. Could put a brace in if I felt it was moving too much.

Thanks for the tip on Du-Ha...unfortunately they don't make under seat storage for a CrewMax.

Very happy with my ESP bin. Like others have said, be careful for the wires cutting out the foam. I believe the wires are for the push button start, or the door lock/unlock sensors, I forget

To whomever is about to install one of these in a truck that has pushbutton start.. As it is widely known, the transmitter (or whatever it is called) is in the center of the center cutout.. However, I just did mine and I almost cut the wire harness that ran from the passenger side to the transmitter / antenna in the center cutout.. The wires are protected by a plastic sheath, but in my case, they ran through the front edge of the passenger side box location and were not free and clear.. Be careful when you cut the insulation out for the passenger side box as well as the center box.

Thanks...I'll take some pictures as I go. I'm going to be as careful as.i can so I don't nick or cut the wires that are allegedly for remote start. And another member found the wire bundle was going across one of the other bin holes.onntje side so now I'll just take my time.on all 3 cutouts...glad this group shares positive information!

That is nice. What size and kind of lumber did you use? Did you use a template??

FYI, on mine the shipping box was also the template, don’t tear up the box opening it up.
One of the most useful mods though.

I assume you are taking about the plastic ESP trays. I was inquiring as to the custom wood mod. I have 2 friends that have the ESP stuff and are not happy with durability, fit and finish. One has his crack the other had his warp in the Fl heat.

Yeah, I was replying to the OP. Yes ESP trays, mine have been great, no issues, 2.5 years in Yuma, AZ, rest of time has been in VA. Trucks never been garaged. I am glad I didn’t have to worry about wires when cutting.

That was just some left over lumber from one of my trim jobs. More then likely Poplar and I stained it to match the interior wood accents.

To Architect & Thirsty Tundra - It looks like the white plastic cover over the wire will be in the way of the ESP box. Any insight? Getting ready to install on my ‘21 Platinum.

To Architect...did the tray still fit down fully into the cutouts with the 'transmitter' sitting where it's at?

I finally got around to installing the 3 compartment tray. I do have the transmitter box/cable in the mniddle cutout. The tray still sat all the way down into the cutouts.
