How does the rear seat fold up? Against the back or front? A photo would help.

    Thanks

Just watch any of the YouTube vids on this truck. The rear storage is shown in all interior reviews.

Yes it’s a double cab but same rear seat configuration. Fast forward to 7.35

Does the back fold down flat to make a flat deck? The more I see the less I think that I like the way the back seat folds down and appears to not allow for a nice flat deck for storage. Seat folds back but with the underseat storage it looks like the flat deck is not possible.

It’s not flat, there’s a slight angle to it.

Has anyone here removed the rear seats, especially in a double cab? I did that in my Tacoma and it made the space so much more useful and I have no need to ferry people back there anyway. I also wonder if maybe the 2022 Tundra JBL system has a subwoofer that might be part of the seatback, which would complicate this idea.

Thanks for the photo. Doesn't look like the best design but I guess I will get over it. My old Chevy is designed pretty good. The seat folds up against the back of the front seats and the back folds forward flat making a large flat deck to place things like coolers, luggage, etc. This design looks pretty useless and I guess the main reason is the under seat storage as a tradeoff.
