I was driving and hit a bump and my rear window came offline. Any chance anyone has experienced this or can provide me with a quick fix

    Thank you

    Welcome from Delaware

you should seek a body shop for assistance as the dealership service department labor rate is market driven and the body shops rates are Insurance Controlled so your cost per hour are significantly less and way more familiar then someone who’s area of expertise is mechanical vs. body.

This is good advice. I have found this to be true for cracked or broken windshields as well. Body shops were much cheaper than places like the Safelight.

Curious about this, are we talking the large window that rolls down on a CrewMax or the vent sliding window on a Double Cab?

Assuming the former, was it all the way down at the time? Or part way down?

Large window the crew max.. it was open a quarter down I hit a bump and window goes goes off track and will not go up. If I place my fingers in where the window is I can lift it all the way up.. To me it fell off track

If you can move it manually then its probably still in the track. My bet is the cable snapped or came out of the little plastic thingy that holds it, or came uncoiled from the spool.
Will it move at all up or down with the switch or is it only able to slide with your hands?
If it came off the track then it would probably fall all the way down and get wedged in the frame/track.
All just guesses, but I've had to fix a few crappy BMW windows that slid down and it was always the cable, not the track itself.
I've never looked but I'm sure you can pull the seats and carpet and access the window mechanism from inside and see what's going on.

I have never done this on a crew max, but usually something like this is more time-consuming than difficult. Take the backseat out and remove that cover to get a good view on it. Most likely it just came out of the bottom holder. Usually a type of pinch bracket with of rubber lining. It may have pulled itself down off the glass if the window was kind of adhered to the weatherstripping. At a minimum you could have it torn down and ready for the glass guy to fix it for you. Might save you a few bucks.

It’s easy enough to fix. Pull seats, pull rear wall access cover, see what’s going on in there.

About this bump, there are bumps and there are also OMG I was following close and didn't see this giant hole that the car in front of me was straddling so unfortunately I hit this washed out asphalt that had like a 7" Straight edge to it and it felt like the whole front end was coming apart, hit my head on the headliner and the rear axle came off the ground, etc. So, was this a bump or a nasty abnormal incident? Just trying to get an idea what to be aware of. Sometimes we all are driving in some rain at night and don't expect the road to be gone. I have seen people here hit bad spots and snap off tie rod ends, and ball joints unexpectedly. Care to share your experience?

Ended up being the regulator we had to replace. There was a small plastic part that holds one of the wires that lifts the window broke. Used was still over 250 so we decided to just go to dealership with a 1 yr warranty we got it for 275. Who would have thought a small piece of plastic would cost so much haha....

Be safe out there you all
