Seems the Achilles heel of the Access Cab are the fragile rear window latches.

Anyone have a great fix, or aftermarket solution or product to suggest? I need to replace or fix pronto.

    Thanks!

The rear side doors. I should have been more specific. Both trucks have broken latches. 2000 and 2002 model years, both access cabs.

I didn't realize this was such a common issue. I'll be ordering the aluminum ones. They seem easy to install. I did see a guy with a YT video solution and he used a zip tie which he claimed held well for 5 years. So that's a nearly free option for anyone not wanting to spend 10-15 bucks.

You can still lock the window tight and never open it again. You just need to work the Swing Arm Mojo into the slot. Its a double Handed Move, but doable for beginners. Both my latches have been broken for years and I’ll get around ‘Tuit’ one day. Thing is I don’t care to open the rear windows anymore due to road noise introduction.

I have the same/similar aluminum replacements. They work well.
