With the nice weather coming I need to get the truck ready for kayaking...

I have a decked system in the bed along with Wilco rack system.

When loaded, My feel free kayak sits a little to close for my comfort to my rear window.
Does anyone know of metal plate that I can mount to the tundras bed rail system to provide a molle look but doubles as protection from the kayak sliding forward under braking?

I would expect you would have your boat secured so as not have to worry about this?

Of course it’s strapped down. But I’d rather have something in place before the first oops moment.

If I can spend a few bucks now and never worry about it when I load it or under hard braking. It’s worth it to me.
I’m assuming a rear replacement window isn’t cheap

Probably like a rear window protection frame.

I doubt they make one, but I’m sure you could build something to attach to the bed rail system and then be able to remove it when not in use.

I’m thinking a normal molle plate with some type of extension where it hooks into the rail-system to clear the top of the bed rail would work well.

I was thinking I just need a plate that mounts to the existing Toyota bed rails. I’m thinking it’s a 18” by 12” plate.

My Wilco won’t allow me to have the head ache rack.

I need to find a fabrication guy that does it on the side to I can make some other brackets as well.

I should have paid more attention in metals class in high school 30 years ago.
