    EDIT:

Sorry, logged into Toyota app. The inner sidewall of the passenger side front and rear tire may have been damaged during assembly.

Leave it to for others of they don't know.

PLANO, Texas (Oct. 15, 2024) —Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain Sequoia and Tundra vehicles produced from April 2024 to July 2024. Approximately 12,000 vehicles in the U.S. are involved in this recall.

The inner sidewall of the passenger-side front and rear tires may have been damaged during vehicle assembly. If structural damage has occurred, a tire may suddenly lose air pressure while driving, which could result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

For all involved vehicles, Toyota dealers will inspect all tires and replace damaged ones free of charge.

Owners of involved vehicles will be notified by mid-December 2024.

Information about automotive recalls, including but not limited to the list of involved vehicles, is current as of today’s filing date and is subject to change thereafter. To see if your vehicle is involved in a safety recall visit Toyota.com/recall or nhtsa.gov/recalls and enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or license plate information.

For any additional questions, Toyota customer support is also available by calling the Toyota Brand Engagement Center (1-800-331-4331) for Toyota vehicles.

If you changed out tires and wheels you are not at risk

I get that tires are never in-house. But it seems to me that OEM's are no longer car manufacturers, but just put together pieces from 3rd party vendors like legos. The massive uptick since covid in crap quality everything, and OEM's always blaming it "on a supplier" give me no confidence in any single brand. Hell, Honda recalled almost 2 million cars this week alone!

On my way into my GM dealer for my wife's Yukon to get two recalls fixed this morning.....Nothing to see here folks, just the new normal.

Welp, looks like we know where Toyota re-assigned all of the crew responsible for cleaning out machining debris. "They can't possibly screw up wheels and tires!"

    Oh.
