Recommendations on new Coilovers & Shocks

    I'm needing to get new coilovers & shocks all around (all original on higher mileage). I have a 2010 Double Cab 4x4, with Rockstar III 20x9 wheels covered with 285/60R20 General Grabber A/TX. On stock suspension I had to cut some of the cab subframe to prevent wheel rub. All is good now. I'm a contractor and have side mount tool boxes in the bed. I can accept a small lift of 2-3", but don't want a big "Lifted" truck as I use the tool boxes daily. I also pull several trailers and occasionally carry heavy payloads (read pallets of tile) in the bed. What would you recommend for replacement coilovers (looking at adjustable) and shock in the back with maybe a helper spring for heavier payloads? TIA!!

    Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 suspension, HD RAS, 285/75-18 Nokian Outpost AT, LoPro bed cover, TRD rear sway bar, DD 10 inch exhaust, and various other goodies
    Lots of good coilovers out there. Since you are not full on offroading build, here are some brands to consider that are priced well and good quality:
    Toytec lifts (several available) and Eibach Pro Truck 2.0- adjustable to up to 2.5 or so lift, includes coilovers and rear shocks. Great for improved street experience, off road improvement over stock.

    OME and Dobinsons- both are pretty HD components. Lift can run a bit higher than advertised. Good off road, on road, great for running around loaded or towing. Firmer and be aware they come in different load variations, at least OME does. Even the light springs are about 10% stronger/heavier than stock. I have run OME on a few vehicles.

    For the rear, look into RAS, activesuspension.com. Sounds like what they offer would fit your needs, stops sag from hauling and towing without negative impact on ride that you would see with add a leaf or such. Perfect lift, about an inch, which would give you just a bit of rake when running 2 to 2.5 inch lift in front.

    All of the above are good choices, priced around $1000 to $2000 depending. If your budget is less there are Bilstien 5100s, 6112 and 8100 series.

    And if you don't have one already, look into the TRD rear sway bar, make a nice improvement for about $250. And since I am spending your money, suggest you look at seat jackers at least for the driver seat. Much more comfortable driving experience.

    Appreciate all the insight on this. I've read through many of the threads, but with so many contradicting opinions, it's difficult to come to a definitive solution. That being said, I went with the Bilstein shocks with front adjustable height. I think this will give me the option to level the truck without adding much to the overall height. I'm also adding the RAS Active Suspension. This should help on the heavy payloads to reduce squatting. Thanks again!!

    i run 6112's now and have had 5100's in the past. IME both are great solutions for a budget lift that are even good for occasional offroad use. I think you'll be very happy with your choice

    I have 6112s upfront and 5160 in rear. front at +1.9 to clear 295 70 18. i am also getting the active suspension asap
