Im in the Pacific Northwest and it rains a lot so window visors are a must. I just installed some AVS visors for my 2020 Tundra and I am not happy. Each visor had some kind of blemish fresh out the packaging and with the front windows, they seem to hit the window every time I roll them up. Thinking of forking the cash for weathertechs. Anyone have any input or reviews of some good window visors? Thanks in advance.

I like the weathertechs. Have them on 3 Toyotas right now.

Same experience as you with AVS. A lot of people here recommend them and are happy. Mine were trash and got returned. Seriously, they were horrible. Scratched to hell, rough and ragged edges, super thin plastic.

I have WeatherTech in channel visors. Couldn't be happier. They're think and sturdy. If you're near Salem you can check mine out.

I have AVS. No problems but mine are stick on. Not in channel. I don't like in channel window visors. I believe there's problems with them in all makes. I've been putting stick on window visors on my vehicles for a long time and I've never had a problem with them.

    Weathertech all the things!
I'm on my 3rd set - F150, Tacoma and now the Tundra.
1st set was tape on, last 2 sets are in channel.
I was skeptical about the in channel ones but they performed perfectly.

I’ve used AVS. WADE. STAMPEDE. and TOYOTA BRAND. Stick on only. Never had any issues.

I've been using AVS since the mid 70's. Nothing you have described have I ever experienced. The ABS plastic is not thin. Not even. Get a digital caliper and measure the thickness. Just sayin....not a fan of Weathertech at all....hate my Weathertech floor mats but that's for another thread.

AVS knock offs. AVS is the original vent visor manufacturer.

Im gonna let the AVS cure for 24 hours and see how it goes. I mean they were only $35 shipped with a discount code Amazon gave me. The WT would be like $115 shipped.

My current set of 3M stick on AVS have been on 1 year. Full 4 seasons of Colorado weather including limbs brushing up against them all the time when I hit the high country here...never ever had one crack...never.

I have the AVS in channel visors and they are good to go. Until they molded to the window it was a bit rough, but after a couple of days in the Texas heat. Good to go!

The only reason I quit using in channel vent visors was that sometimes in the winter my windows would get iced up bad and when I'd lower my window the in channel came down with the window. In channels really need a good seal. The remedy if this should happen is to take off the old adhesive tape and hit up Ho Despot and buy a roll of the best 3M tape and re-apply after prepping with alcohol wipes followed by drinkable alcohol!

Ill give mine a chance. Let it cure for 24 hours. I rolled down both passengers side windows just a few minutes ago and it seemed better but the rear window seems to make a sound when I roll the window up.

PS: Yes is my hood up a bit as I also put in a dry AFE air filter.

One thing I forgot to mention is I have an appointment in early September for ceramic window tint. I would hate for these to peel that tint but luckily it will have lifetime warranty.

I was a little worried about that at first with tinted windows but I haven't had any issues at all. I had avs on my previous tundra and broke them somehow, then had to clean all the 8 year old 3m tape off. I prefer the in channel style.

Original doesn't always necessarily mean better.
Like with Weathertech floormats for example.

True in some cases. Never had AVS visor issues myself over the years. I totally dislike my Weathertech mats but that's for a different thread:thumbsup:
