Anyone cut down the size of the foot rest? I have a 2021 SR5. In my 2007 Tundra it was much smaller/lower and I thought it was pretty comfortable and unobtrusive. In the 2021 it's pretty big.

I also had a 2015 Honda Accord that had a similar bump except it was about twice the size. Ended up pulling up the carpet and shaved the large foam chunk to about half the size. Guessing the procedure will be about the same in the Tundra - will leave the carpet somewhat saggy in that area.

I have Husky floor liners FWIW, they seem to have a bulge that accommodates the factory foot rest.

My bad. I dug into the floor board today on my 21 looking to install a similar dimmer switch and see that there is foam.

Looks to be approximately 5" at the base tapering to just under 1" at the top.
