Remote Connect Activation Problem

    Looking to buy.
    The truck is a 2021 with an active remote connect account through 2025. Was not having any issue with it until the other day when I wanted to lock it remotely. I opened the app and it said I needed to activate it by inputting a code at the multimedia touch screen......great.... so I had the code sent to my phone but when I opened the "apps" menu all menu items were greyed out and not responsive to touch. Before I pay Toyota to look at this I thought I would see if anyone had any suggestions..... and yes, the truck was in "Park"...:)

    use the SOS button to talk to an operator. Had that happen on my 21 in August 2023 when my subscriptions expired, couldn't get it to renew like it had done previously. the CSR had to "activate" my truck again for connected services. Haven't had any issues since. They were quite helpful in resolving the problem, contacting Toyota Help through the website, not so much.

    Thanks! I did do that and the CSR said it renewed the day after it expired so it had to be re-activated. Not sure why that happened as it was set up for auto renew. At least next year I will know what to do if it happens again.

    Would the SOS button work for resolving the app not locking/unlocking or starting the truck?
    It magically stopped working two weeks ago and it’s now snowing, would be awesome to have remote start back…specially since I’m paying for it

    Worth a shot..... does your phone app indicate your remote connect is online? When you contact them, you need to be parked outside.....not in a garage.

    Changed to my winter tires and reset the Tpms….remote connect magically works again…
