This remains ever present on my 2023 Platinum screen . It is extremely annoying. I have been told by Toyota the only way to remove it is to subscribe to the service. I do not want the service as they track your whereabouts. Can someone help me remove this?tundra.jpg

Connect via CarPlay and it should go away.

If only there was a way. I paid big $s for the big screen package; enough that making me watch ads to subsidize the price is not warranted.

How so? CarPlay connects every time automatically and that screen doesn't come on. aT least, that is how it works on my 24.

2022 SR5 here. That is the navigation arrow icon that is active in the photo. Without an active trial or paid subscription nav does not work and you will always get the hated message. Normally I do not need nav so when I want nav I use Waze, Apple maps, or similar and touch the top icon.

Click on the CarPlay symbol on the top left. Other than that, Toyota monopolizes the initial splash screen requesting you resubscribe. If it bothers you enough you can entirely take over the display with a Binize box or similar

I am a cyber security nut so I don't run with blue tooth on unless I am using it. So a lot of local driving without Android Auto since it is not needed

Even with AA running I get force fed "pay me" screen once in a blue moon upon start up. Have to clear it to get AA maps display.

Once in a blue moon may be acceptable as a reminder to continue to put on my tinfoil hat every time I drive. :D

I just got my truck a few days ago, and never have I used or will I ever use any of the Toyota mandated software crap since I am never going to pay anyone a subscription to use my damn truck any which way I choose without them looking over my shoulder all the time.

(Or even let that damn Stop Start crap kick in.)

That screen is for the connected navigation. Since you don’t have a subscription it’s going to show that. Just click the radio or CarPlay button

I spent 7 months trying to get rid of the Experience Drive Connect ad before Toyota finally bought back my truck. It does not help to subscribe. If you subscribe and drive out of an att internet area your screen locks up until you get to an att internet area and you re-enter the pin. Then it locks up again when you leave that area. The majority of my travel areas do not have att internet available. Without mapping, hands free phone, and music it made my truck unusable. My research showed: Toyota said they will never change the software to let you turn it off. The Toyota engineers I spoke with mistakenly believed everywhere in the country has excellent att internet service. LOL. Playing music from any source prior to turn off does don't affect the screen locking up. I have had times it locked up for 10 minutes. You can't replace the unit with one from an earlier vehicle. You can't replace with a non oem unit because too many of the vehicle's operations are in that unit (reminds me of my Porsche with the sunroof controls built into the stereo). The software for the unit is open source. This means that the only way you can fix the major problem is to hack into the infotainment software and remove the pos advertisement. Or, as I did, buy a different brand and never buy another Toyota. IMHO, Toyotas are no longer usable in my area and the fumbling with the info center is probably why it cost me more money for insurance on my one Toyota truck than both my other brand 2024 vehicles put together. Toyota really, really screwed up here. Seriously, you can now only use Toyotas in the city. And they won't work even in some areas of the cities.

This is being forced on me against my will on something I paid over $70,000 for that belongs to me. This is a form of extortion…..as in I’m going to annoy you until you capitulate. In my gut I feel it’s wrong…. I’m not a lawyer but this has class action written all it

As with all IT systems and services you clicked a click box when first setting infotainment up they links to a user agreement they includes language effectively saying Toyota can do whatever they want on your screen.

The way of the world. Don't like it go 100% off the grid with no devices. Same answer if you don't want your data tracked and sold. You gotta like like the Unabomber to avoid it

Point is I don’t think you have a choice. What if you don’t check the box…blah blah blah… other options are tied in completely unfair

Class action? I can see the headline now: "Lawyers get paid millions and Toyota owners get coupon for free tire inspection."

Just a default phone interface or whatever shows after you are forced to “MANUALLY “clear it.

I do wish they would leave what was previously set when shutoff. If I was using radio when I powered off, let that be displayed when powered on
