Has anyone removed their hood scoop and then installed a Cascadia or Lensun solar hood panel? I would like to see if this is possible. Does the solar panel fit in flush where the scoop used to be, or is there an open space between the solar panel and hood where water and dirt can accumulate? Thanks in advance.

Check the build link in my signature.
Everything I’ve seen, 1) you want to put down a vinyl paint protection film under it - which would cover over the holes left behind from the scoop and 2) the panel is larger than the divot in the hood, which is larger than the hood scoop.

Thanks. Looks like the solar panel will cover the entire area over the hood scoop. And that means there will be an empty space between where the hood scoop was and where the new panel now sits. I don’t think I’m willing to deal with that but will think it over again. Thanks for the help.
