So I had my front windows tinted, and they had to remove the upper trim piece in order to get the tint adhered to the bottom of the window. Looking at how the trim piece sits now, I'm suspect they may have broken one or more of the clips and I’d like to pull it off and check. Anyone removed this? I suspect it’s going to be a “pull up on it”. But the ambient lighting is beneath it so I’m leery of doing that or wedging a trim tool under there. And yes, I know I could take it back to the shop that tinted the windows, but if there is a broken clip or two and they just put it back on, I'm not going to trust them to fix it either.

Would they have removed the upper trim piece? Or the whole door card. I suspect the whole door card comes off as a unit. Most door cards have a couple of screw type fasteners, and a bunch of friction clips. Toyota likes to traditionally put screws at the door handle and the door grab handle.

They said they didn’t have to remove the entire door like they do with many other vehicles.

Thanks for this. Look like from the video where the panel is off that the top trim is screwed on the the door panel. So I’m guessing they must not have removed it as they specifically told me before they started that they would not have to remove the door panel.
