Tried to get my bed bolts out tonight and the teeth cracked on the bolt itself. Any ideas?

Is there a flat head that can fit end to end?

It may come to welding a nut on top. I wish more manufacturers would bolt the bed from underneath and actually use standard ASE size bolt heads.

I second Avocado's suggestion of vice grips. Have used them with success in the past for similar issues.

Might wanna blow torch that guy first whatever you do. Then yeah my thought is giant vice grips and put a breaker bar over the grip end if possible.

Vise grips would be tough being it's sunken down a bit.
I'd spray it good with Kroil, another penetrating oil, or at least WD-40 and let it sit over night.
Perhaps try hammering the next biggest-size torx bit in the hole and turn it out.
If anything maybe a left twist drill bit.

Actually thinking on this more I would (blow torch for a minute) then use a big pipe wrench, add breaker bar as needed.

I think I'm going to try this before I cut the head of the bolt to make a bolt that I can use a socket on

Another option is to drill the head off. If you weld a bolt on and the weld fails as you try to take it off, you won’t be able to drill it afterwards because the bolt becomes case hardened. In the future, to prevent them from messing up, make sure the torx head is clean of debris, use a knew torx bit or one that you know is not worn, place the torx bit in the bolt and strike it with a hammer a few times. Use an impact and not a ratchet to remove. The hammering of the impact will help loosen the bolt.

Get a hand held electric engraver and put the tip in the center of the bolt head, then let do its thing for a couple of minutes. It's like a mini jackhammer and can help losen bolts

100% this. I've done it with head bolts where they have the head head and it strips. Threaded shaft should just turn by hand as soon as tension is broken

I just solved this issue a week ago on my Father in Laws new Tundra. Use a rubber band between the driver and screw. Push in and slowly turn. Found it in YouTube.

Will this work with the bolts for the tie down anchors on the corners of the bed? Trying to remove them and the threads are stripped was doing this while changing out my bed bolts was only able to swap out three the other three are tight!

Don't see why the wouldn't work. Apply a penetrating oil per instructions to make it easier.

Just ordered it, trying to install the total chaos bed stiffeners and that’s been the issue trying to remove them, and hopefully I can remove the other bed bolts

As others have mentioned, penetrating oil (maybe a few treatments over a few hours from underneath) then extraction bits. Might be worth hitting it with an air hammer from above and below too to help vibrate things loose too.
