I have a 2008 tundra 4WD 5.7 liter. It has 197k on it. I have an exhaust manifold leak on the drivers side. I am trying to replace it.

I was fortunate all the 8 nuts came off without problem. The secondary air tube nuts also are off. Also the 3 nuts to the exhaust side are off.

I can move the manifold but the space is tight. Any help will be appreciated.

Try to remove some connections and lift up and out from the top. Also the leak could possibly be welded and no need to replace the whole manifold. I had a leak along the secondary air injection port tube and just welded the leaks and no problems with it so far. Amazing what horsepower returns to your truck afterwards.

When I replaced my starter I unbolted the motor mounts from the frame and put a piece of plywood under the oil plan and jacked the whole motor up. I also took out the mid cat pipe. Those 3 bolts and nuts on the exhaust manifold need to be replaced. Mine stripped and I had an exhaust leak there.

That's gonna be a bitch... Carcarenut on youtube replacing headers on a sequoia may be of some assistance. Short of removing the studs to slide it out, will probably be your only way besides lifting half the engine out

I cut the exhaust pipes and took it out. Dragon 003 you are right, the leak was at the secondary air injection connection area.
