I was thinking of doing a bumper swap. Replacing my 2000 bumper with the updated 2003 ones. Purely for cosmetic purposes.

I have a feeling that these bumpers online are sketchy. Anyone have experience with these?

You’ll need the crash bar, some clips, the inner fenders, and you MAY need the grill and headlight pieces. I’m not sure if the older grill setup will fit with the newer bumper

Yes, I’ve read some other threads on here about the additional parts required. Probably going to have to get those from a pick and pull.

I kinda have this idea that I’m not going to be able to find an oem bumper that’s not dinged up. It’d be nice to work with a brand new one so I can go straight into painting it without fixing dents and blemishes.

I’m mainly concerned how this one would fit.

I think the 2000 grill and lower headlight cover will work.

Well that’s good at least. You’ll just need the bumper, crash bar and inner fenders. I don’t think there were brackets. But there may be too

Does anybody have a photo of what a 2003+ looks like without the bumper on so I can see the differences in how they are mounted?

    Maybe there’s a thread?
