Replacement fuel door to non locking door

Decided to change the 2001 fuel door to 2003 or newer..was a pretty easy swap ..had to chan ge out the inner housing as well ..luckily I found all the parts at the junk yard .

Can you elaborate on what you did? Do you have a pic with the door open?

On my '00 locking door, the door/hinge assembly just comes off with two bolts. Did the '03 hinge not match up to the original holes?

 

Ill get you a picture latter this evening. The 03 matches up to the original holes for the door ,same as my 01 .But the inner housing that has 4 Screws that goes around the fuel neck has to be changed out as well .

 

Love this idea. Im curious on what you did on the inner housing. Could you possibly send pics? Would you be into custom making one?

 

I'd love to see pictures from inside the door! Just to see the framework, how it hinges out.
