Replacing stock 16x7 wheel with 16x8 fine for 245 tire?

Hey guys,

I am looking to replace the stock 16x7 alloy wheels with new wheels. Seems like the most popular choices are 16x8s. Will a 16x8 rim work with stock sized tires? (245s)

look up the tire you are considering at tirerack or discounttire, in the tire specs it will list the acceptable rim widths for that specific tire.

 

A 245mm wide (9.7") tire will fit on an 8" wide rim.

 

What tires/wheels are those? Look great

I must be in the minority that thinks all-black wheel/tire combo on white truck looks awful, like it's rolling steel spares.

 

With the truck being black and I thought it would be a good look, I am open to other options too
