How difficult is it to replace the Serpentine Belt on 2014 Tundra 5.7 for someone that’s not a mechanic but a handyman, or is it best to get a certified mechanic? Is the Continental Brand Belt recommended? I’m in the Green Valley area of Vegas.

    Welcome to the forum!

It's not crazy difficult, but can be a little bit of a fight at times. Spend a little bit of time scrolling through this thread, which should answer your questions... DIY: Serpentine/driving/timing belt (and pulleys)

Regarding brands, for some reason my '08 5.7 seems to only like OEM belts. Non-OEM belts have been problematic for my rig and resulted in early wear and noise issues. So, for me, I'll spend the extra $20 on a Toyota part if I'm going to take the time and $$ to replace it.

Lastly, make sure you take a photo before pulling it off or have a schematic of the belt's travel path. If I remember, I believe there's a schematic somewhere in that thread to guide your install.

    Good luck...

@WhiteKnight after looking at the link that @tripleconpanna sent. It looks pretty easy. But then I have done this before.

But everyone's gotta start somewhere. I would get a friend who has done this and have him/her supervise your install.

It will be a little pita at first and then take like 30-60 min but you'll say next time you can do this in 20 min.

So go ahead try it. Another solution is if post the city your in and you can likely have more than a few forum members that would be willing to supervise/help you.
