Restore Running Boards

Anyone have any suggestions to restore the color to these running boards? I saw a lot of talk about the Cerakote Ceramic trim kit but not sure if it can be used on the metal, plastic end caps, as well as the rubber steps pads? Open to suggestions.

 

Cerakote can be used on all of these, and will do a great job. Just don’t make any mistakes, because it’s going to stay there for a long while. This was almost three years ago, and while they did eventually fade again, that bad spot is still visible.

How exactly did you get the “bad” spot if you don’t mind me asking…

 

Some water dripped off the mirror onto the running board at some point during curing and I didn’t see it until it was too late. It pretty much fossilized the water spot on the board.

 

If those steps are still not installed application of cerakote trim will be very easy to do. That is the right product to this job.
