Just have a quick question. Anybody install a retrax system on their new tundra yet? I’m curious where the drain plugs go? Is it something I would have to drill holes into my bed to install?

I don’t have a gen 3 but are there little plastic plugs on the forward cabin facing bed wall? If so you drill through those plastic plugs.

I had an off road shop install mine.
They just dropped them straight down using two of the four existing drain holes in the bed floor.
When you write plugs, I'm assuming you are referring to the drain tubes.

Yeah I just noticed today there are four drain holes. They were so small I almost didn’t notice them. Do you know if they had to still use a drill to make those holes in the bed bigger? Or were there attachments to fit those small holes?

yes they definitely used a drill to make the holes a little bigger and the drain tube then goes into the hole

I also got a Tundra OEM bed mat. Got it the dealership for $162
I made two little notches in it so it would fit around the drain tubes.
The OEM bed mat works great.
    I highly recommend.
