    Hi,

I'm a very new Tundra owner. I just bought a 2018 Tundra Limited Double Cab - Midnight Black last week. It came with a deck rail system installed.

I'm looking at covers and I'm interested in the RetraxPRO MX. One of the selection categories is Standard Rails with or without Stake Pockets. My bed has them... but it's about 99% chance that will never use them.

So, my question is does it really matter? Is the difference that the RetraxPRO rails will either cover or not cover those stake pockets? I'm not sure I care.

Am I missing something or some advantage to making space for those?

Any experience regarding this brand of product would be appreciate.

    Thanks.

Well, classic newbie mistake. I already know that I want the RetraxPRO XR instead. That rail system is juicy. Opens up a lot of possibilities.

Still curious if people have reviews of this product.

    Thanks.

Here what it looks like on a 2016 with the RetraxPro XR:

I plan on putting a set of Bullring tie down where the caps are since there is enough room for them.

I have the RetraxPro XR and the only downside of this cover is that you lose about a foot of the bed for tall items where it coils into. Other than that I love this cover. One thing though if you want to have your bed completely water proof then this is not the cover, it does leak at the tailgate, not much but it does. I had a Bakflip G2 on a Ram and it didn't leak due to the fact that the flap was on top of the tailgate.
