Hello! Would love some advice on a situation I am working through. Just installed two new Rigid Adapt XP ditch lights with the Rigid 36360 harness (as required) and Rigid provided 3 way switch. Wired everything up directly to 2022 Tundra battery and while bright on "all on" mode, not all LED zones are activated.

Additionally, switching to Adapt (GPS) mode, the lights flicker and appear dim. No buzzing or strange sounds from the relay either. In "all on" mode lights appear bright however the outside two LED zones on both pods are not activating. Used the Rigid provided butt connectors as well. Photos attached.

Please excuse the jury-rigged zip tie wiring, will clean it up more.

How many wires from the lights are there?

Three - Red White Black and then into the harness it matches. Red is for all on and white is for Adapt GPS functionality.

If you purchased an adapt pair pn300415 those zones are purposely not lit. You need to swap them left to right. They don’t have leds in the inner so you don’t blind the driver or passenger with the side lighting when mounting them up in the a-pillar

I had an adapt 20" on my FJ. All the sudden it stopped working. I called Rigid and to be honest I got a bit of a run-around at first. The tech support person seemed genuinely annoyed that I was trying to get their product working which mind you was brand new. They gave excuses as to why it didnt work like "the engine needs to be running" "the battery sometimes doesnt give it enough power" and eventually told me to send it back so they could see what was wrong and MAYBE send me another under warranty. If I didn't have warranty there would be a charge depending on what needed to be replaced. Luckily I had purchased it through Amazon and was well within the return window. I just sent it back and put some Baja Designs back on, which by the way were way brighter than the Rigid. It was cool to have the switch for the different zones, but honestly the light output was eh. You so much as have an issue with a Baja product and they treat you like you're their best customer every time you call. Ill never buy anything not BD ever again, my suggestion return those Rigids and get some LP4/6/9

That's pretty unfortunate. Rigid has made some pretty nice parts over the years, and I'm sad to hear that their customer support isn't faring so well for you. Are they still new enough to return for a refund?

I don't know that I'd want LP's on my A-pillars due to the constant side lighting, but maybe a nice set of Squadrons or XL's with wide cornering lenses... Then an OnX-6 bar(s) with driving combo lenses in the grille area for good measure...

While typing this, I notice that I'm wearing my BD t-shirt...

Thanks for the kind write-up. One key thing to mention is our LifeTime warranty on all of our lights. If you do have any issues down the road we will honor that warranty and get you all helped. We also do offer interchangeable lenses so if you ever want to change over from a clear to amber or from a spot to a wide corner, you can utilize our Uservice and purchase those replacement lenses and be on your way.
If you ever have any questions regarding our products feel free to reach out via email.

Hey @Chad D., We do have IPT covers for the LP4s that eliminate the side shooting lights that create the hated hood glare. If you have not got a chance to check these out yet here is the link to them on our site.

That’s good to hear. Assuming that you can block off just the inboard side of each light, leaving the outside still hot?

That said, I’m currently still good on BD lights at the moment. I’ve still got a new 40” S8 with clear spots in the box at home, as well as 6 Squadron sports. 4 of those go on my tractor when this stupid rain lets up, but I haven’t decided where the last pair will go. Either the Zero Turn mower or the rear bumper of my travel trailer…

I’m not a ditch light guy, so not putting them on my A-pillars. I’ve got plenty of light to the sides with my Squadron wide cornering fogs and the 30” OnX-6 with combo lenses.

Yes, the IPT covers are designed to block one side and leave the other hot.
When you get the lights on the tractor feel free to snap a couple of photos and email them over.
