About to install some rocklights soon, but need some insight on mounting the lights and wiring routes. I don't have any front wheel well liners and plan to remove the rear also. If y'all can share some pictures of your setups I would appreciate it. Thanks

IMG_5848.jpg IMG_5847.jpg IMG_5846.jpg IMG_5845.jpg I got mine from tractor supply store. Color can be changed by a dial switch. It came with 2long n 2short wires. The short was to short when I tried to put them in the wheel well. So, i put them under the side step. When I got new side steps, i had to put them under the rocker panel. I got some more rock lights to install I got from RC. Not sure if I’ll put them in the wheel well or under the front n rear bumper area. I ran the wires through a rubber plug in the floor. Then under the carpet n through the firewall. I also run my wires through a wire loom/ tube when I can or zip tie along areas so they don’t hang down and it looks somewhat clean.

Oh, here’s the dial switch to change the colors. And where I put it. The red switch is for the light bar.

I have Diode Dynamics rock lights, 1 per wheel well with no fender liners. They are more like “look at my shock lights”, useful for night repairs/campsite light, and hopefully amuse the FuNcTiOnAl rOcK LiGhTs on a big off-road truck people. Wiring is run to the house battery mounted in the center of the truck via a grommet in the back seat floor area, so I’m not much help on routing. The individual extensions are shortened for length as balled up wiring is a pet peeve for me. Switch is mounted in the center console to the left of the shifter.

After seeing your rock lights in the wheel wells, I’m gonna put my RC rock lights there. If the wires are long enough.

Nice work! Are you using a wire harness that comes with the lights or did buy and wire them yourself?

Just ordered some "Pod style" rocklights. I will probably do 3 on each side. Since the wire gauge on these are smaller what wire gauge do y'all recommend to hook these up?

Would you guys usually run both 3 pods on 1 string of wire or do you recommend to run 1 wire for each light for every wheel well???
