Has anyone had any issues with one of these covers? I just had one installed on my 2023 1794 and it leaks terribly. This was installed by one of Roll n Locks preferred dealers. The dealer tried all afternoon today to try and remedy this issue. They have gone to lowe's gotten weather stripping to try and now they are talking about caulking it to see if that will stop some of the leaking.

We had a storm pass thru this morning. Front passed thru in probably an hour and a half. Truck was sitting in the yard. Below are some pictures of the leaking.

    That's pretty bad.
When I saw the first pic, I thought, a little leakage is to be expected at the tailgate.
But all the other pics are way unacceptable...

    Good luck...

I’m currently struggling with deciding which cover to get. I’m basically down to retrax pro xr and Rollnlock a series XT/ Gator MT(same product just different branding). This makes me think maybe I should spend the extra for Retrax.

I expected a little leak around the tailgate but not what I am getting. I have known my dealer for 26 years and have a good relationship with them. They have done work on every truck I have purchased in the last 26 years. They are doing what they can but Roll n Lock doesn't seem to worried about it.

Not sure if Retrax is any better. Retrax was actually my first choice and my dealer told me they preferred Roll n Lock since they had very good luck with it so that is the way I went.

If I wanted to keep the bed dry, I would consider either a cap that covers the outside edges of the bed rails, or a topper that does the same. All these folding/rolling tonneau covers that barely fit within the width of the bed are surely prone to some leakage..

looks like its got similar water intrusion as the OEM tri folds.. if you're looking for dry storage in a bed, the fiberglass one piece tonneaus that go past the bed side a bit are really the only ones that come close. or a full on cap.

Whats the difference between the E series and the A series? When I recently had my front windows tinted, I looked at the A series and was considering making a purchase. But now you have me concerned.

The E Series is electric. BTW, we took some gasket material and ran around the top edges of the truck bed and then put the cover back on. Pretty much stopped the leaking except for the corner of the tailgate. All is good.

The Roll n Lock did not come with any seals. We finally went a bought some gasket material to use for seals. Worked great. Roll n Lock should furnish something like this. its a poor design in my opinion.

I had one on our 2nd Tundra (back in 2013?) and it leaked like crazy, just like that. I also had an issue with constantly having to open up the box near the cab and pushing a reset button because it would constantly trip.

Since then I've bought Retrax for 2 different trucks and I'm super happy with them. I don't think any canister type cover is going to be 100% waterproof but the Retrax don't leak like that.
