Roll n Lock owners - have you seen this issue?

Hey all,

Got a Roll n Lock A series retractable bed cover for my 3rd gen Tundra just a few months ago, and wondering if anyone else has experienced this with these bed covers in the past.

The canister lid appears to be "bowing" upward a little bit in the middle such that you can actually see into the empty canister with the cover closed (not retracted). Seems like this would allow crap to get inside there because the little bristles aren't making contact with the slats themselves anymore.

Has anyone else had issues with this? I'm tempted just to try to bend the damn thing down a little bit and drive on but it seems like a bizarre issue after only a couple months. Thanks for any help/experiences.
