what i like about this community compared to previous *cough* GM *cough* forums is that here people have more of a "to each their own" attitude. Personally, i like their products - but i wanna hear your two cents!

ive heard that "RBP is the Gucci of the truck world" and is overpriced garbage - just there to show off their branding and flex

on the other hand ive heard that they are owned by Lexani and are trying to fill the niche of High-end, luxury off-roading and truck accessories.

currently i have their pedal pads because the diamond plate slips much less on my boots than the stock rubber one (pretty solid idea on a truck that was recalled for not being able to stop, eh?) as well as their exhaust tip because the coating is like linex, which matches my side steps and everything else

RPB Accessories, fully decked trucks, wheels, etc = junk, quality, like, dislike, poser-ish?

    thoughts?

Have 35x12.50x20 RBP m/t on my truck. Absolutely love them. Got em cheap off of simpletire.com. Great road manners, not too loud, not a big drop in mpgs, balanced easily. They look badass. My local tire guy told me he has been installing quite a few sets recently. The real only downfall is that they are a directional tire, so side to side rotations might kinda be a pain in the future.

nice! glad to hear were in the same boat! i was afraid if i made this a poll - the results would be 35% love em / 65% poser waste of money.
but ive seen some really nice RBP builds and i kinda like the concept of a brand trying to bridge the gap of luxury and performance

I looked at their wheels and they seemed cool if you wanted to do a showy mall crawler, but seemed impractical for actual off-road use. Although they have a great load rating they're too intricate for my liking and the pattern sticks out way too far. I want wheels that I don't really have to worry about scraping on rocks and that are easy to clean when I'm done, not something I have to take a brush to in order to get all the dirt and mud out.

I'm not saying they're bad wheels or that the people that buy them are all duck-faced d-bags or something. I'm just saying I passed on them for the reasons I mentioned.

RBP makes some nice LOOKING products. But they sure are proud of them. Just because something is more expensive doesn't necessarily mean it is luxury.

I think their grilles and exhaust look nice. I like their wheels. I'd never pay their prices.

A decade ago their products were twice the price of most other comparable products. They really targeted the diesel market hard. I think the diesel guys are over it and that's why you're seeing RBP expand into so many different markets.

Had to heat and push the front fender liner in about an inch or two. Other than that, no. But i did take off the mudflaps

youre absolutely right. the prices are high as hell, but they do seem still to have qaulity (close to par) with price point. (EDIT: okay not on wheels, i just looked those up holy @#$%) i heard all those changes happened when Lexani purchased them. and that they wanted to merge their luxury, overpriced business model with the hardcore off-roading community. i heard thats when they decided to cater to all trucks. lifted, lowered, gassers, even SUVs etc.

    so idk

The prices on those RBP tires are pretty amazing. Something doesn't add up.
Are they at the wear bars after 5000 miles?
    Whats the deal?

Not from what i've seen. They just havent become mainstream and overpriced like BFG or Toyo yet. I've seen a couple reviews online and Youtube. Seem to be a decent MT. Maybe when Lexani took over they wanted to push tire sales market more. My local tire guy who installed mine said he had done a couple Ford f250's and the guys loved em. At this point, why not give em a try. I ran Toyo MT Open Country on my last Tundra and i will never buy them again.

I like the look of their wheel line. At the right price I would probably purchase a set. Same goes for their grilles, some of the best looking grilles for full size trucks. But again, at the right price.

Their wheels are no less functional than many of the other faux beadlocks out there. Plus they've been around for a while and have a history of good quality control.
