Finally got around to doing my headliner. I originally just painted the headliner and upper trim pieces black with Dupli-Color fabric and vinyl paint. I didn't like the hard texture of the Headliner afterwards so I ripped it off, and sanded off the left over foam, and got new black fabric installed.

I used three different kits so I could have different colors 2 450pc kits abd one 200pc kit. So 1100 strands toal

    Nice work @RoasterOven
Make your truck whatever it is you want it to be..
    I think it looks great..

If I could have done this to my 1982 Camaro (in 1982) I would have been the King of the World in my circle of friends...:D

Hell, if I could have done this to my 2005 Tundra, when my kids were little, I would have done it for them..

Maybe not doing it by myself lol, it took me 3 days of marking, poking, feeding, gluing, the trimming 1,100 holes

But seriously I would get the 13' long strand kits instead of the 9.8' ones like I got, because one of my light engines doesn't reach the floor behind the rear seats so I had to cut a notch out of the lower trim panel.

3 days of marking holes, poking holes, feeding the strands through holes, gluing, short trimming the strands before installing back in the truck, then final flush cutting in the truck.

Man, I love the fact that you're doing you and not just going down the list of mods everyone else is doing. What type/brand of light is up top in that first vid that look like veins and capillaries? It seems like those could achieve some fun projects. I wonder what a person could do to add depth/ a third dimension. Probably way too much work. Haha thanks for sharing.

    Thank you,

Its a individually addressable LED strip, specifically the WS2812B type. It allows a controller ie: a specific WS2812B controller with pre-programed patterns, or an Arduino to control what each LED is doing individually which allows for flowing and moving patterns.

Ive done other projects for people using them. They are extremely easy to use they're pretty much plug and play to the controller, because the strips are pre-wired with a standard connector that all WS2812B strips, controllers, and extension wires use.

Arduino controlled center console logo I made:

    20210314_184641.jpg

You could make alot of projects with them, i think if you do the "infinity mirror" with these strips it would look really cool. But a VERY important thing to note with WS2812B is they only run on 5 volts anything higher will fry the strip. So in a car you will need to install a buck converter or voltage reducer/regulator inline before the controller, or for in-house projects a 5v power supply or voltage reducer.

Projects I've done for other people:

    long time no see lol.

    Stuff has changed since last:
    20221220_163937_HDR.jpg

The white-only TRD Pro Grill Lights are still up to be ordered.

I've have what I call V3.0 lights on my truck which are individually addressable LED's since August 2021, but I don't think I ever posted it here:
    20230405_210710_HDR.jpg

They are nowhere near ready for sale though because about a year in, I was noticing some kinks that need to be worked out. And I've yet to get to them

V2.0 are white only just like the one's in my above post, but I'm going to encapsulate the LED Strips in the letters with 2 part resin instead of glue like in V1. And any other changes are only going to effect me and how I assemble them, and not the final look or anything. I should mention the color changing one's on my truck were encapsulated in resin, and have been on the truck for 20 months no issues. I noticed as I was pouring resin the 3D print was soaking some of the resin into it, further waterproofing and strengthening the letters.
