Roof Rack Options | Double Cab

Hey guys, I haven't had any luck finding a roof rack for my 2022 Tundra DBL cab. I see Prinsu has an option for only the crew max and UpTopOverland has one too, again for Crew max only though.

If anyone has seen or heard of any options for this I would love to learn about it!

Maybe something will get announced at Expo West this weekend...

 

Same boat. Been trying to make a list of vendors for roof racks and bed rack/cage systems. Haven't found many making products for the DC roof or bed yet. Most vendors focus on CrewMax trucks with the short bed. I get it since that's the majority of the market. It's still early in the truck's lifecycle so I'm hopeful.

I have the same problem looking for bed accessories. I more hopeful for that having options than for the roof. Now that the CrewMax is also available in the standard bed length of 6.5'...I'm hoping more vendors will support it moving forward.

 

Any updates on this for 2022 Double Cab?

 

Nothing yet, that I'm aware of.

I keep an eye on Prinsu/CBI and Victory 4x4. Both companies offered roof racks for the DC for the last gen Tundra. I'm sure they'll eventually get around to doing the same with the 3rd Gen.

 

I haven't really heard either. All I know is, keep an eye on the influencer pages. Mike with LLOD has a dbl cab and works closely with CBI/Prinsu so I'm sure he will get one. He also works with Front Runner so maybe that too. Either rack I would be happy with for my build as well.

 

Reposting here to update any Double Cab bros that want a roof rack option.

Made the long drive from Seattle to Idaho Falls to work with the team at CBI on a Prinsu roof rack for the double cab tundras. I was tired of us feeling left out so decided to jump in and offer the truck up for prototype/test fitting work! Really love working with the guys there at CBI and I'll be heading back in a few weeks to test some more products specific for the Double Cab community!

 

This is excellent news for Team Double Cab! Thanks taking one for the team. I feel like chipping in on your gas bill as a thank you. Lol.

 

I wouldn't stop you either. Paid over $650 in fuel there and back

 

Any idea when they plan to start selling them? I emailed them a week and a half ago about a DC roof rack and I got some generic copy paste response...

On a side note.. I’m loving the new dobinson rear suspension! Thank you sir! Did you end up getting your front suspension swapped out too?

 

Still waiting on some options myself. I keep an eye on the CBI site frequently. Pretty much ever since CBI test fit a rack on @evergreenoffroad’s rig.

I’m also hoping to see some “no drill” options hit the market. Go Rhino and Rhino Rack both showed no drill/clamp style racks at SEMA but they were for the CrewMax.

The double cab gang has to wait patiently. Haha.

 

I’ve seen those too. The spider no drill inserts are cool. I’d like to use them when I find a rack that fits.

Funny you posted this. I was thinking about this not but an hour ago. I was like, “Whatever happened to that prototype Prinsu rack that @evergreenoffroad was running for the Double Cab?” Must be a sign from the universe telling me I need this. Haha

You’ll def be getting an order from me when my wallet cools off from the holidays. Probably February/March timeframe after I recoup from my bed cap choice and drawer system install.

 

Whoaa that's insane! Well your intuition was dialed in! Yeah the holiday $ damage is real this year I totally get it.

 

I plan on looking at these after the holidays as well.... any of you know any trusted installers in Eastern VA? I'm still pretty dang nervous about drilling my own holes up top.
