I remember back in the day dealers and manufacturers frowned upon lifting trucks. My favorite truck back then was a 1993 SR5 6" lift with Buckshots. Loud running down the highway but I kept up with the jeepers in the mud. :mudding:

For full transparency, im an old dude now and dont go mudding and will never own a non-lifted(in some way) truck.

I can tell you that not because they installed your lift means they would honor your warranty.
I had this conversation with my parts/service guys when they installed the lift on my 2015 and unless you got it in writing it’s pretty much “you understand there is a risk you are willing to take on”

Word on the street is that 2023 model year will add Cement to the Pro color option at the expense of Lunar Rick

I get what your saying, I have it in writing though. They have a bunch of trucks out on the lot lifted and done up usually…

I don't like trashing anything, but RC is not good, and spoiler, nether is Icon.

Again, everyone talks smack about RC. They make solid lift and leveling kits. So does most every company now and they are all almost have the same design. Some may have a better part here or there but they are pretty much the same. It’s like the Ford , Chevy , Dodge , Toyota, debate..They key is getting a solid reputable shop that performs the install and stands behind the product.. the installer that does my work has literally done more than a couple hundred installs using RC products and has had very few issues.run what you can afford and take care of your stuff and it will be ok.

Just know what you’re running RC is fine for road but won’t perform as well as something like kings off-road

I just want people to have all the facts that I have. I’ve used RC, BDS, Rancho,5100’s on my Tacomas, Skyjacker, you name it I be either had it or installed it on a friends ride. Most of our vehicles spend most of the time on the highway or light trails. But there are idiots that can break an anvil and don’t give a rip about their truck.

Agree, but how many run hard enough to run kings off road?

With King, probably higher than some other brands, but great point. 10 percent on average across the big 3-5?

Ordered these today. Should have them installed next week. Currently running the 3.5” RC kit, these will replace the front factory bilsteins, and spacer that was put in with the RC kit.
I’m expecting a better ride, will report back next week.

I'm curious how you like them after installed? Looking at doing the 2" ones to level my truck.

Anyone running their new revised kit? The one that comes with struts and springs for the rear?

I have the original 3.5” kit- but swapped out the trd stock bilsteins and 3.5” spacer for the M1 coil over once it became available. Rides wayyyyy better and less body roll. Worth it IMO.

I think RC makes an ok product but I have had the same experience as others here with them. Bouncy and cheap feeling, lack of quality shocks/parts etc. However I have also spent the Dough on a pro comp on my previous and it sucked as well. I say icon all the way or in the case of my 23’ coming I may say stick with Trd lift.

I’ve ran pro comp before and wasn’t impressed. Icons are very nice- however just remember you will have to rebuild them. They aren’t made to run for 50k miles without extensive maintenance on them….. many people don’t realize the amount of work they take to keep up with them.

The trd kit is well done- I’m just unsure of the shocks themselves. The rest of it is very well done.

Is this the kit you guys are running? I’m leaving toward it due to lack of availability from anyone else yet. Mine is a sport and I want some rake after install. I’ve had good luck with RC before even though it doesn’t get much support here. Just want the stance and larger tires, not doing any serious off-road.

Do it. Can’t go wrong with the kit. Thus will replace your stock struts so will more than likely lift and level your truck.

I always thought RC made a decent product that works just fine for daily street use and made affordable as well, sure you can spend more on a high end shock like King for performance reasons that doesn’t make RC a crap product it’s just on a different level.

Think I’m gonna go with the new 3.5 kit. Putting method 17” 305s wrapped with Falken 35s 0 offset. Will comment when done.

Keep us posted. Also let us know which 3.5” Kit you purchased from RC. The full strut and replacement rear coils or just the spacer kit

I’m doing the full kit. Gonna see about switching the coilovers and rear shock for the RC Vertex stuff. Going this route due to budget and availability.
